My mother’s family was Sephardi. My father wasn’t Jewish. How do I determine whether to follow Ashkenazi or Sephardi traditions?

The basic answer is that in a case where only the mother is Jewish, one should follow the tradition of the Jewish mother, in terms of the choice between Sephardic or Ashkenazic tradition.

We recommend however, that you contact the Chabad house that is closest to you for a more in depth discussion.
