Immersion in the sea

Shalom Rabbi, if a woman works and she needs to go to the Mikveh but there isn’t one in her area, is it permissible to use the sea?

  • Answer
It is permissible to immerse in the sea, and one must be careful about three things: 1. The woman should not stand on any object that comes between her and the seabed, 2. Loose clothing should be worn, and 3. Her husband should accompany her.
