Hi, I’m a Kallah and on my bedika cloth there were some tiny black threads.

The Rav Name: Rabbi Yitzchak Arad

Hi, I’m a Kallah and on my bedika cloth there were some tiny black threads. I know that they were threads and not blood. Do I still have to go check this out with a Rav?

The halacha is that Jewish women are machmir and separate from their husbands after even seeing just a drop of blood,

Yet this halacha that even a drop of blood requires one to separate from there husband,

Is specifically if the bleeding comes from the uterus however in many situations there can be staining which does not result from the uterus and that will not impure the women. for example, sometimes there might be a wound or a scratch which is the source of the bleeding.

And for that reason, sometimes we will recommend the women to be checked to see what the source of the bleeding is as if it is not from the uterus she will remain pure.

Yet in some situations the seemingly red or black stain can be something else completely for example a thread which has made it way on to the cloth (I have seen shailos the came from a towel which one used before making the bedikah).

Therefore in this situation there is no need to advice with a rov as the black is coming from the thread.s
