Shalom and thank you for turning to us. In your case it would be better to look up the website for Igrot Kodesh of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, where you can write your request for a blessing. The request gets put in one of the many volumes of the letters of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, and the website shows you the letter. The act of writing to the Rebbe already draws down blessings. The Lubavitcher Rebbe is the holy righteous leader of the generation, and has the power to bless you.

Our job is only to answer questions, but of course, we wish you the best of health and happiness for your husband and yourself!!!

I will just explain a little more about asking for a blessing. Just as a farmer must plough his field before the rains, so that the crop will grow, so do we have to make a good resolution connected to keeping the commandments of the Torah in order to draw down blessings from above. So it is worthwhile to make a resolution, such as lighting Shabbat candles on time, or giving a bit of charity every day or before candlelighting.

All the best and may you have good news!
