Q. A person prepared cookies where the majority of the liquid ingredients was fruit juice, which according to basic Halocho warrant a blessing of ‘mezonos,’ and a G-d-fearing person will be stringent and eat them during a meal where he has washed his hands for eating bread (Admor HaZakein, 168:10.) What should a person do if he is accustomed to making the ‘mezonos’ blessing on them and he is offered them during a meal with bread?

Answer:Admor HaZakein wrote in the order for Birkas HaNehenin, 2:10, that since there are those say that a person has fulfilled his obligation to make a blessing with the HaMotzie blessing on the bread, he should not make another blessing on the mezonos during the meal.
