Stopping work before lighting Chanukah candles

The Rav Name: Rabbi Boaz Yurkowitz

Shalom Rabbi! I work in a store and finish work at eight o’clock, and only then arrive home to light the Chanukah candles. According to the Shulchan Aruch, one must not do any work a half an hour before lighting. What should I do?

If a person began work at a time when it was permissible, he need not stop, especially since in our day there are opinions that candle-lighting time is as long as there are people outdoors, or family members who are awake.
