Fulfilling Kiddush obligation with mezonot, (cake, cookies or crackers)

The Rav Name: Rabbi Boaz Yurkowitz

My husband eats a lot at the Kiddush (in shul) on Shabbat, and doesn’t want to wash for bread at the Shabbat meal (at home), since he says he fulfilled his obligation by eating mezonot in shul. What should I do?

You can tell your husband that he should wash for bread in order to make sure there are no doubts as to whether or not he fulfilled his obligation.(See Shulchan Aruch, 249:10)
